The Woods Are Calling
The Woods Are Calling

Kevin, Medford, NJ

I go through the same ritual everyday. I grind MC’s Happy Hippie, put the grind in the French press, brew a great cup. Today, as I went to wash my mug I noticed the residual coffee grounds and was mesmerized. I’m in New Jersey, but have been to Whidbey Island many times. The design in my cup immediately transported me back to the island’s woods. I think it’s telling me that I’m overdue for a visit to Whidbey!

Missing Pieces
Missing Pieces

Russell, Langley, WA

I was whipping up my secret Fourth of July BBQ sauce recipe when this ring mysteriously appeared on the kitchen counter. It looks like a puzzle, with missing pieces. It’s saying "look for the missing pieces," but it’s not saying where. Puzzling.

This appeared on a 70's era countertop. Instead of looking into your future this ring conjures up your past. It brings me back to the days when coffee was just that, before the half calf, decalf, latte with a twist of vanilla was born. Bottoms up!

A cup of coffee a day will keep the cirrhosis away - oh yay! My morning cup of french pressed coffee. Life is too short to drink bad coffee, enjoy every drop.

Starbucks Stain
Starbucks Stain

Sue Frause, Langley, WA

This non-artistic coffee ring is a result of a Starbucks coffee cup that left this mark on a pair of my favorite pants. The incident happened at a Starbucks in Wenatchee, Washington when apparently a felt marker used to indicate my coffee choice somehow "ran" down to the bottom of the cup. I rested the cup on my leg and when I looked down, there was this unwanted Starbucks stain!
