Futurist Linda Lane enjoys advising companies to create friendly customer focused websites and software that sparkle with usability. For Fortune 500, large high tech firms and medium to small businesses, Lane and her teams Linda Lanedesign and produce sites and software that deliver solutions for customer's needs; focusing on creative, functional, and tested user interfaces with high satisfaction rates, by creating transparent easy-to-use human interfaces infused with character.

Linda Lane has 19 + years experience in user interface and software application design, technical product / program management, and product marketing, with Microsoft, Amazon, RealNetworks, Intel, SAP and other high tech companies. Lane has managed teams from all the software industry's disciplines, and enjoys working on projects that accomplish tasks by group consensus.

In 2007 Lane taught Web application interface design and privacy issues in Informatics, at the Information School, University of Washington (UW), Seattle. Lane has extensive experience in information architecture, user interface research, development and testing, ecommerce, product marketing; creating innovative ideas for evolving existing sites. She has designed interfaces that work well with international localization requirements.

Lane earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fine Art from the prestigious private Cornish College in Seattle. She is an executive Master of Science in Information Management candidate at the iSchool, UW, expected 2008. She also earning a Certificate in User-Centered Design from the UW’s Technical Communications evening program. In 2007 Lane served as a member of the University of Washington's Architectural Commission and as a representative to the UW's Educational Technology Faculty Council. She serves as an active member of the Information Architecture Institute (http://www.iainstitute.org/).
