adidas
As adidas is one of the largest sportswear and athelic stores in the world, it probably needs no introduction. The Web site was developed to successfully increase their ability for marketing and sales world wide, and strengthen the brand. It is one of the most complex sites developed technically, visually. The structure of the site is designed with consumers from many countries interested in different parts of the site. It has expanded from an etail site to serve as a source of information about the company and to work in concert with other partner brands.

Advantage123

Everythingdecor

Atlanta based Everythingdecor.com, a subsidiary of Flooring America, Inc. NYSE: FRA), was a 10-industry, design, décor and decorating web site which planned to unite independent retailers.

The planned web site allowed consumers to select options and find local retailers for products and services such as all aspects of decorating, including furniture, appliances, window treatments, art, flooring, wallpaper, electronics, paint, accessories and lighting. and then view the selections within a virtual house.

Paul Trau was President/COO of everythingdecor.com, which also had a very interesting business model to unite local businesses with the site.

eVineyard aka Wine.com
Portland, Oregon based eVineyard, Inc. is the largest online premium wine retailer in the United States, primarily through it's online storefront wine.com. Although wines can not be shipped to certain areas as local or state laws don't permit it, (e.g. Alaska) Jan. 21, 2002 eVineyard announced approaching profitability.

eVinyard's CEO, Larry Gerhard, formerly a software developer, launched the site on June 14, 1999, and in April of 2001 acquired some assets of Wine.com and Wineshopper.com (including the domain names) leaving eVineyard the last significant national wine retailer doing business exclusively via the Internet.

March 7, 2002 Peter S. Ekman became president and CEO of eVinyard/Wine.com, replacing Gerhard and interim president, Harold E. Hughes, Jr. Hughes, formerly Chairman and CEO of Pandesic LLC, remains on eVinyards/wine.com board of directors; previously he served as the CFO and treasurer of Intel Corporation.

eyestorm

An unusual fine art sales site based out of London, Our team members flew to London to help code the site by the date set by marketing.

They specialize in photography with a strong European taste preference. We agreed that "eyestorm" was a really great choice for the domain name.

The site has been progressively simplified since launching in 2000, overcoming download times. Enjoyed working with the Eyestorm team - cheerful folks!

farmamundo

Farmamundo was planned to offer online pharmacy services to Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina ("a pan-regional virtual pharmacy"). The Farmamundo Team is personal favorite of the business peopleweworked with while Pandesic remained afloat. (no logo available)

A Google query for "Farmamundo" (June 2002) lead to website recycling company http://www.webreco.com/ which leases pieces of site software componants for reuse.

In 2000 Salutia.com, an health care Internet company, merged with the U.S. company MedicoUno in a $75 million stock transaction. Salutia Medico Uno Network owned some shares in Farmamundo.

Such a site is a good idea, and it's time will come; current U.S. laws controlling prescription drugs ordered via the Web still call the legalities of doing business over the public Internet into question.

foldededge
Announced for launch July 3, 2000 by George Hodges, president and CEO of Folded Edge, he expected their low-cost marketing plans would differentiate their business to investors. At the time etailing companies budgeted as much as $100 million for branding -- spending hundreds of advertising dollars for each new customer hoping to gain marketshare.

The FoldedEdge marketing plan included selling high-end clothes targeting 25- to 35-year-olds through their employers intranet sites.

Hodges raised $4.2 million. The foldededge domain name is for sale (June, 2002) for 3K. (no logo available)
