"I am writing this letter of recommendation on behalf of Linda Lane. As a former vice president and marketing executive at Microsoft, Autodesk, and other leading technology firms for over 20 years, I have dealt with many employees and consultants in the area of creative services and project management.

Linda is an exceptional performer among the people I have worked with. Her creative skills are universally recognized by her peers and supervisors. Very few people have true artistic talent; Linda is clearly one of those people. She has an excellent work ethic, and truly values personal and professional relationships. I recommend her highly as a manager, employee or consultant."

"I have had the great pleasure of working with Ms. Linda Lane for the last six years, first at Pandesic, LLC and then at Rare Medium, Inc. At both companies she was my supervisor and served as the head of the department. At Pandesic she brilliantly managed a team of twelve highly qualified Web Consultants while successfully managing numerous Web development projects.

My total experience working with her was absolutely fun and devoted to learning. She has a knack to bring out the best in people. She maintains a very professional approach to work while constantly motivating the entire team to produce their best work.

Ms. Lane’s people and technical skills brought her recognition in the department and a promotion as a Director of Web Partner’s Relations. At this position she helped Pandesic improve and further develop relationships with its Web Partners. As a part of her relationship improvement strategy, she introduced several new programs, including minimum training and certification requirements for partner developers.

Ms. Lane is a very talented individual whose attention to detail and ability to adapt to changes and be flexible in a wide variety of situations make her a creative resource in any environment. She is an outstanding leader and a team player and would be a great asset to any organization she chooses to work for."

"This is a testimonial on behalf of Linda Lane. As a former information technology professional, I worked with many organizations and environments - public, private, non-profit, technology, finance, and telecommunications. I've also worked for many managers, and Linda Lane stands out as one of the most competent and intelligent I have worked for.

While an employee at Meridian Partners Ltd from 1998 to 1999, Linda's professionalism and creativity was exceptional, and stood head and shoulders above virtually anyone else within the organization.

Perhaps most importantly, she inspired those who worked with and for her to do exceptional work. She would be a great asset to any organization."

"Linda Lane worked for me as my assistant director on filmmaking projects for three years, and I highly recommend her. As former director of Seattle-based independent film company Ipse Dixit Films, I often relied on Linda to put together creative plans, for which she researched literary and photographic materials. Her creativity, resourcefulness and tenacity were essential to the success of these plans.

Linda is an effective communicator and often served as my liaison to the scattered crew members. She has the flexibility to jump in wherever needed. She coordinated projects involving numerous people, and her ability to work collaboratively while guiding projects quickly and effectively is outstanding.

Linda's diligence, energy and sense of humor make it fun to work with her. She's cool."

"I worked with Linda Lane at Pandesic, LLC. I thought she was a gifted manager, with excellent skills in both Customer Relations and Programmer Relations - an unusual mix. I have worked for many different companies, and in many programming groups since that time, and have yet to work for a group that has been so functional, gotten so much accomplished, and got along so well. I believe that this was due, in a large part, to Linda's influence.

Linda was a very dramatic stabilizing force in our group. She kept communication open all the way from customers to team members to executives. She was always honest with us. We knew that we could depend on her to back us up, and follow through with her promises.

She has excellent listening skills, which benefit both customers and team members. She would translate customer must-haves, wishes, and whims into solid requirements that were easy to put into code. She was always careful to only promise that which was possible to deliver, and made sure that she was always very well informed as to system abilities and time constraints.

Linda has amazing artistic and user interface design talent, which she continues to develop. Everything she works on, from mock-ups to full sites, has a very professional, eye-catching appeal. She seems to effortlessly combine visual arts with printed media and advertising to create fantastic looking, intuitive, and fun to use web sites. There are many people who can throw together a reasonably functional web site, but few have the skills to create something as well rounded and attractive as Linda can.

She was constantly thinking of ways to improve our team, the product, and the profitability of the company. She was able to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and always maintain a drive to do better. She would be an asset to any company. I would work with Linda again in a heartbeat."

"Having worked with Linda at Pandesic LLC and seen her manage the ‘impossible’ and deliver within very tight deadlines I would consider her an indispensable asset to any development team. Linda’s deep sense of responsibility to her clients was expressed in a level of commitment I have rarely seen since working with her. Despite what many would consider an overwhelming workload Linda always brought with her an upbeat playful attitude which spilled over to boost the moral of the entire team.

Linda’s strong work ethic, passion and drive always ensured the job got done."

"I have been asked to write a letter of introduction for Linda Lane. This will be a pleasure. As a motion picture producer I have known Linda for almost twenty years. I have learned to trust her instincts and I have also learned that any assignment given to Ms. Lane gets done well, always on time and more importantly, with flair that amazes both myself and all others on any film team. I have asked her for many different types of work, usually revolving around art direction. I can only say that this remarkable person is to be rated by me at the absolute apex of enthusiasms."

Peter Selden

Sr. Product Mgr, MS Commercial Operations IT
August 31, 2004

"To whom it may concern, I have known Linda for a year and a half. It was my pleasure to work with Linda for about eight months last year at Microsoft where I'm employed as a Sr. Product Mgr in Commercial Operations IT.

I had brought her in as an external consultant to help me formulate UI design concepts for the next generation of a complex worldwide e-commerce website of which I'm the lead product manager. This system is widely used at Microsoft for direct to consumer on-line sales with order volumes in the millions per year selling the products and services of over 150 internal MS groups, including the recent launch of Windows XP SP2.

Some of Linda’s strengths are her graphic design skills, her keen ‘artist’s perspective’ and her work ethic. When I provided her my basic design concepts which were based upon the complex underlying data relationships and its varying business rules, I could always rely upon her for critical feedback and refinements. She brought to my attention several subtle graphical and usability issues that I would never have come up with working on my own. She was a real team player upon whom I could rely for open, respectful and honest communication.

Through iterative collaboration, we teamed together successfully to produce solid results: the eventual new UI design scored very high in external usability testing with v-sat ratings of 83%.

Linda is a pleasant person to work with. She's a smart cookie and has had a lot of practical hands on web experience, having worked for all sorts of organizations both small and large. I believe her many skills and well-rounded experience would make Linda a valued contributor anywhere she worked."

"In Recommendation
Upon retiring and relocating from Anchorage, Alaska I decided to open my private architectural practice in the greater Seattle area. In order to gain instant recognition and a new clientele I began by asking Linda Lane to develop an architectural services Web site.

Wow! She did an exceptional, outstanding site.

This site gave me immediate credibility when I referred clientele to my Web address through advertising in the local media. I began to receive calls within 10 days and I have continued success in the marketplace.

Thanks Linda for a great job well done!"

"I am writing this letter of recommendation for Linda Lane.

Linda worked for me on a critical, cross functional, global project that involved a mix of program management, review of policy and support processes, writing of features and benefits documents and creation of online collaboration sites.

Throughout the project, Linda showed a passion for the work and a sense of team work that allowed her to gain the support of a broad virtual team and move forward on contentious issues. She has a strong work ethic and is dedicated to the job at hand. Linda is a pleasure to work with and I would recommend her as an employee or consultant."

Linda Criddle

Child and Personal Safety Program Manager, MSN
April 18, 2005

"To whom it may concern:

I had the privilege of working with Linda Lane while she was filling a temporary position on the MSN Spaces team looking into safety and privacy issues. I found her work to be solid, that she was able to understand quickly the big picture, ask the right questions, and drive for results. Linda did an excellent job reaching out across the many groups that touch upon safety issues, bringing the right people together, driving the agenda and pushing for results.

I was particularly impressed as this is an area fraught with inherent conflict as we try to balance free speech, safety, and visibility into personal expression, with profitability and the development cycle. Linda’s attention to detail ensured that the communications and plans she worked on were thorough and polished."

Mark Begin

Product Manager, Microsoft

"There are skilled program managers we might have hired to help us build our projects successfully, and even meet our aggressive schedules. Linda not only did these things, she built a successful team, something I wanted.

Linda made our two groups, Microsoft and our contractors into a shared team, a single, focused working unit. It was more than expected; her leadership was exactly what we needed."
